GotchaFix

Know what’s due before it’s overdue.

A maintenance tracker for everything you own — your house, your vehicles, your appliances, your equipment. Tell it what each thing needs, and GotchaFix works out what’s due, reminds you once a day, and keeps a record of what was done, when, and what it cost.

WindowsAndroidiOS — coming soon
The GotchaFix home screen, listing overdue items first and then what is due soon.

The furnace filter was three months ago — or was it five? The car is somewhere near an oil change. The water heater has never been flushed, and nobody remembers what the gutters cost last time. None of it is hard to do. It’s just hard to remember, and easy to discover too late.

GotchaFix is the place all of that lives. You add what you own and what each thing needs — “furnace filter every 3 months”, “oil change every 8,000 km” — and from then on the app answers one question every time you open it: what needs my attention? Everything else stays out of the way until it matters.

It runs on your device, with no account and no internet connection required. Built with .NET MAUI, it’s the same app from a single codebase on desktop and mobile.

Features

What it does

What’s due, at a glance

Overdue items first, then what’s coming up soon, with everything else tucked away. Plain language throughout — “Overdue by 26 days”, “Due in 9 days” — nothing to decode.

Schedules that match real life

Repeat by time, by usage (kilometres, miles, hours), or both at once — whichever comes first, the way car maintenance actually works. Update the odometer and the schedule keeps up.

One reminder a day

A single daily summary, at a time you choose — not a stream of notifications. If nothing’s due it stays quiet. Turn it off and the app still works.

A history worth keeping

Log what you did, what it cost, and the meter reading. Attach a photo of the receipt. See the total spent on one item or across everything you own.

Starter templates

Adding a house or a car? GotchaFix offers a ready-made list of the usual maintenance tasks, so you don’t have to invent a schedule from scratch. Keep what fits, ignore the rest.

Offline, and yours to back up

Everything lives on your device from the moment you install — no account, no sign-in, no cloud. Back the whole thing up to a single file whenever you like, and restore it on another device.

Your data doesn’t go anywhere

GotchaFix has no account to create, no sign-in, no analytics and no ads. Every item, task, log entry and photo is stored on your own device, and the app works with no internet connection at all.

When you want a copy, you make one: a single backup file you control, that restores onto any device running GotchaFix. Nothing is held hostage in a service.
